I would rush out for a replacement and explain the difference in his behavior to him being mad at them for leaving him on vacation :D

omg, hmmm, i would slowly start gossiping to a few friends who would gossip to more people, and by the time it got around no one knew who started it and the person who needs to know whats going on now knows. while i remain anonynmous (couples always fight, then get back together and blames the friend who tipped them off)

i would be totally confused, and have everyone around me look at it and laugh at them, then prob email them and see if they know they are being watched LOL!

if AC disapeared they couldnt take everyone i know with them cuase all the cool kids talk to each other on msn and stuff too. That and then ide just go to mfk :D..hahah...j/k......not really :p
