whats holding your tank up?

check my profile, i got it from big als, they have it for almost all sizes, sturdy and is cheap. The only drawback is the installation takes a while (you know what i mean if ever put together an ikea furniture).

below is the ada tank setup i am getting in a month or two, the stand and light arm alone costs $550 and that's only for a 18gallon! Ada products are a lot of good things, but one thing it's not is value. oo well :o

make sure when you get garden stand, that all your hoses are nicely put if youre not going to stainless steel plumbing way.
also what filter will you be getting?
this is my dream setup right here

the tank im wanting to build is about same volume but bigger footprint like 20x9x9 as the light im using might not be able to cover 24inches..

ya i was thinking about a bookshelf but i dont see a small bookshelf with 9 inches of depth.

man that's a nice setup. I dunno where i can get stainless steel tubes though? think adgshop only has clear tubes. I will probably use the same eheim pro2 filter. The adg stainless filter costs like $900!

jeff also quoted me the ada wood stand where you can put the canister inside, but that's $850 with the light arm.

luckily i dont need co2 setup, it will be for my bamboo tank setup.

I built mine over a few weeks. I just built a basic frame of 2x4s and put wood paneling around it. Super cheap and works great! My next plan is to get some more paneling and make a hood.

i dont think ADA sells stainless tubing, well they do sell like the stainless elbow and filter intake/outtake but.
in the picture i ;linked, she used stainless pipes from places like home depot.
ya SJ filters are expensive, tahts like the maybach of filters. :D

the thing about ADA product is that everything is made to be seen so you have keep the things clean so you can show it off but its really hard to maintain. like lily pipes and clear tubing. thats like nightmares for me. cleaning every 3 days to keep the algae away.

what light will you be getting?
Solar I is pretty good and itll keep your around the tank pretty tidy.

My 20gallon long sits on an wooden aquarium stand I got super cheap on sale from Petsmart. My 10gallon sits on a steel frame from Walmart. The steel frame isn't as stable as I would like but it supports the weight well and provided I don't run into it anytime soon the tank will be fine. I personally like the more stable wooden stands with shelves and doors but they aren't exactly cheap, unless you make them yourself.
