Even though my tanks do not have any problems at the moment, sometimes something pops up.

What Brand of freshwater treatments are the best to have on hand in case of an emergency?

Kordon products?
Jungle Products?
Mardel Products
Aquatronics (If you can get it)?
Something else?

There are so many, but I want to keep the best on hand. Please help....

Welcome to AC! The only thing I keep on hand is table salt and some Prime.

I keep some finquel in case a fish somehow gets so injured or sick it needs to be put down. I haven't had to use it yet but I feel better for having it on hand.

You mean normal table salt? I read somewhere that normal table salt has - "iodine" or something like that in it that can be bad for fish?
Sorry for intruding on the topic but I would love some clarification....? Might be handy for other "Newbies" like myself to understand....?

Regular table salt is what I use. The concentration of iodine in it, isn't of any concern.
