What's the best water conditioner

No, more likely copyright infringement ;) SeaChem has that posted on their web site as part of the blurb on Prime, but it's not on their bottles.

I used to use Tetra all purpose conditioner.

But, since I got a RO unit. I never went back.
 
if you use aged water how long does it take to remove chlorine ?i know if your water has chloramins it will not break down. if those poducts do not get remove heavy metals how do you remove them? how bad are they for the fish and will plants use them up?

The other disadvantage of aging water is that, if the tap water is treated with chloramine, aging will not have the desired effect. Chloramine will not gas off, even with agitation.

I like using Prime for my water. :)
 
I use Amquel when I have to. Mostly because every chemical known to man (well, it sure does taste like it sometimes) is put into our heavily treated water. Years ago I used NovAqua as well, but now just the Amquel is fine.
