Beautiful BC
other than the hair algae , what s the wierd growth on the top?
pics are from my 20 gal fully planted tank .
theres a 65 watt coralife plant light which is quite recent a month i think i have had it.
filtration is 2 bio wheel 100 's
i have been dosing the hair algae with flourish excel and use a few plant tabs in the sand.
there is lots of java moss on the right side, is this just strands of it growing on top of the plants or are they rooting to the sky?

whats bba ?? recently i have had the lights on for too long . for about 10 to 11 hours for about 3 weeks there s a timer on it now tho and im giving them 9 hours a day ...

how much should i give them?

Try and add diy CO2 to the tank, it will knock the algae out. But make sure its consistent. With the lighting i would go for 8 hrs for now.

Consistent DIY CO2, that's funny.

Jk.

Yeah, that's a product of too much light. You probably have an slight excess of nutrients, so keep up your water changes, but I'd say keep your light at 9 hours day.

lol hey its possible to have it "consistent" or atleast close to being consistent. just need to be on top of the drop checker..

oh man i dont want to try diy co2 for my first time quite yet though!

Do siamese algae eater s eat the bba ...?
I have a chinese algae eater in the tank , 2 armano shrimp , 1 oto cat , 1 adfrog, 4 harlequin rasbarosas, 3 cherry barbs , , ,
in a 20 ,, is there room there for a siamese algae eater,? ive been told flag fish eat hair and beard algae are american flag fish safe to buy??
doh doh doh

flagfish can be aggressive. sae will eat it but your chinese algae eater will probably kill them. sae like schools and get far too big for your tank but at 1 inch or so i would put 3 or 4 in. as long as you have a larger tank for them once they reach 2-3 inches.
