Whats this 55 worth?

You should be looking to pay approx 40/50% of the 'new' price. Forget the xtras. They're just ... well xtras. The set up shows visible wear & tear (still workable maybe) but hardly 'like new' cond. Quite often some of the 'big box' stores have what they call a $1.00 per gallon sale. That's $55.00 for a 'brand new' 55g!! $85 tops is my offer that setup. 'T'

I don't like the stand and would have to refinish it. Or the tank would just go in the racks and the stand would not be worth anything to me.

I don't care for HOB filters, so it doesn't add a lot to the worth of the deal, for me.

So, a buck a gallon for the tank. If they say no fine...sooner or later, I find what I need. Too many folks out their are selling their set ups and trying to recoup every cent they ever put into them. It just isn't so unless a newbie is searching for something and can save 20 or 30 bucks.
 
300 is way to much, the filter would be good as a second, but not a primary, the stand doesn't do much for me either, maybe they could keep it. Depending what the tank really looks like, i would also say around 80.00.........:)
 
300.00 is to much.You can get a whole new 55 gal set up for that. And the cabinet does not look that good.
 
hell the python is the most valuable thing. For comparison. i just picked up a 125gallon salt setup. and its loaded. for $275

$100 tops...

I would pay a $100 for that... It cost me near 100 (90ish) to set up a new 20 gallon with stand.
 
Ya, I'm thinking $100 tops. I told them $150 is max. I agree, the filter suck and they are extras. I know $300 is way to much because I can get a brand new 55 for that. I'm just looking for a 55 with a stand because I don't have a stand = /
