What's with the black silicone?

Just curious, I;'ve noticed on the TOPFIN aquariums I see @ Petsupply places have black silicone in the joints. Is this better /worse than the usual clear 100% silicone?

Neither. It's really the same product with color added.

Less room for error if sealing your own tank with black,ill have to look it up,it probably looks different

Typically used on the tanks with the black plastic frames..... Clear is used on the ones with the faux wood grain frames.... Same stuff.

Also, medications can discolour silicone, the black will not show the colour change. Oh, and IMO, the black silicone is stylish!!
