What's wrong with my female german blue ram

She has a nub near her anal fin.Is she constipated? I would post a pic but I don't know how.

Sounds like her egg tube to me. It descends a short time prior to spawning. Do you have just her or a pair?

i have a male and female but i thought theyre too young

I learned today that when a female is about to lay her eggs her ovipositor will become visible. That's what it looks like to me. From the size of the fish (with the leon tetra? as a size reference) she may be old enough to lay eggs.

Looks like prime breeding size to me. I'd be on the look out for eggs plastered on a leaf, rock, or side of the aquarium shortly.
