Hey I am starting to get into the whole Pleco thing and have gotten my first not "common pleco" and its a rhino pleco. I love him to death but I think once I get my bigger tank I would like to get another type. What is your favorite type. What kind has the best personality and why. Also try not to post about ones that get HUGE. I think those rubber lip plecos are neat

Rhinos and commons are quite different - I wouldn't call a rhino 'common' at all, they're nice looking fish. I hope you've got a big tank, rhinos can get more than a foot long - their size is the only thing that's kept me from bringing one home from work! :)
I love my bristlenose (species unknown - bought him as A. claro, but he's larger than they're supposed to get, and he's less than a year old) for both his looks and personality. I recently brought a gold nugget (L018) home, he's starting to really show some character, and he's pretty eye catching.
I'm a huge plec fan, period - I think once you're hooked, you're hooked :DI don't think I have a favourite type, there are so many I'd like to keep that it's impossible to choose just one.
Check out www.plecofanatics.com - there's a great forum and a gallery of pleco pics, which might be a good place to start if you're looking for a new plec.

I really want a Zebra (Emperor) Pleco. They get to 7" and cost about $200 but they're realllly pretty.

what about a blue eye? I heard they're outrageous in price now... but my parents used to have one a long time ago and they said it was really neat

I have a Clown Pleco that, while he isn't anything fancy he is fun to watch once he gets his algae wafer. He'll pull it into his cave and then proceed to munch on it until anyone comes to the entrance where he will imediately go to the front and sit there. He does it to all the fish except the glass catfish and the upsidedown cat that live in the cave with him. He doesn't pay any attention to them at all.

I have two plecostomus in two different tanks--a Rubber-lipped and a chocolate albino (...? o_O) . The Rubber-lip is pretty but shy around me...but not its tank-mate, the bichir.
The Chocolate Albino is also pretty and very friendly. It will occasionally allow me to pet it.

I like my L183 bristlenose. I'm looking for a female so I can breed them

My L002 and L177 Tiger and Gold Nugget are also both awesome fish and I really like watching them if I can get close enough without scaring them :P
