OK so I just put water in my tank and me being all excited, threw the pump on and couldn't get the pump to work, being all mad, I was already to sender back. Look you idiot, the in and outs were backwards! :eek: So now the pump is running full bore! Now how high do I set the output from the water line? I have it right now half and half, so its kind spitting alot/a lot of water.....where does that baby go?


I also just got the bio spira today TOO!!! now I am excited, and man that stuff is expensive, I am majoring in microbiolgy, maybe I could culture that stuff and have a stash in my fridge for back-up......HA! What a great idea!!!

um, ill buy some off you :)

as far as the output is concerned, it depends on what type of fish you have in your tank. Generally any type of surface agitation will airate your tank.
 
I don't think I would sell it, being a hobbiest, I would just charge shipping, and i could claim it as a research project too, sorry bio-spira, just have to find the right media, which can't be that hard. Guess what I am doing tomorrow then!!!!

and besides what are you doing on here so late for chunksofpoo?!?! Actually I haven't even gone to bed yet for tonigt, worked lastnight and I just got done filling the tank as noted above, and I just did a 25% water change on the q-tank! I bought 6 suicide goldfish, and 2 the first day got sucked up the intake for the filter, and wollah! ground fish! poor lil guys, it must have been the scene from Finding Nemo!!!! Gotta love Darwinsim!!! :OT:

this and that.....err.....rather, the two papers and numerous labs i have due in the up and coming week. I just leave the AC on in the backround and check back whenever i feel like distracting myself.


filter floss would work as a media, as would most sponges.
