Ok, looking to buy a good quantity of driftwood for two large tanks, one of which I will have a divider in the substrate that I want to cover with driftwood pieces to hide it. For this I am looking for shorter peices, maybe twig like pieces I can kinda pile up. I then plant to plant java fern and anubias in this to further disguise the plastic wall and look more natural.

After doing some searches here the only website I have seen that sells it in bulk is manzanita.com. Have many dealt with them? Is it good stuff? Are there any alternatives?

only place i have ever purchased driftwood online was from an ebay seller (id: rockartsource). they sell a huge variety of quality sinking driftwood so its worth checking out to see if they have what you want. they also combine shipping to save you money.

Anyone ordered from that Aquatic Eco-Systems before? They wont tell you shipping prior to order, I went through all the trouble of making a fake account and even had to give them CC info (fake of course) and it finally on the last commit screen said shipping rates cannot be given at time of order.

Any other places anyone know that have quantity discount?

And I am thinking about the branchy look of the Manzita branches but don’t know if the color would look poor mixed with Malaysian driftwood too (which I like for planting java fern on). Anyone successfully mix the two?

I've only ordered from rockartsource on ebay. They have an ebay store...so you don't necessarily have to win an auction. I would ONLY buy from them. Beautiful wood....GREAT prices.

I just ordered from manzanita.com yesterday, they have a few aquarium packages available if you call and a reasonable price for me. These are the stick and bird perch type ones.

I have bought all my driftwood from Mygoodys97 on eBay. He has a lot of great pieces, always posting new ones and Shipping is FREE. I bought 5 great pieces once for 19.99 and shipping was free. $20 wouldn't even pay for the gas to drive up to the local lake to get my own. This is driftwood that has been cleaned, heated up to remove the bugs, ready to put in the aquarium. a lot of his pieces are Cedar. If you are looking for big pieces check him out. I personally have bought 3 large tree stumps from him.
