If you're looking for good quality fish, I wouldn't buy sight unseen under any circumstances. Your concept of good quality and someone else's might vary greatly. If you're looking for quality fish without paying quality prices, your best bet is to comb pet stores for the nice ones that slipped through, contact breeders in your area, check ebay from time to time, or pony up the cash that the high grade ones rightly demand. Ichthius is a member on here, who breeds goldfish, and also posts on goldfishkeepers.com. The site may not get huge amounts of traffic, but has a fairly high number of hobby breeders in the US. It may be good to check there. As far as the high end stock goes, places to check out, if only to drool would be goldfishconnection.com who holds auctions every few weeks. The fish supply is run by Ken, of dandy orandas who also makes and sends out a dvd catalog. It's only 5 bucks to cover shipping, and is well worth checking out. Paul of ranchumaniax is also awesome, a really nice guy, and has top notch stock.
