Where to get a cheap, sturdy, tank stand.

As the title suggests. Does anyone know where to get a cheap (but sturdy) tank stand? I don't want it breaking down on me...

Walmart. I got my two 55 gallon tank stands from walmart. Like 70 bucks. Comes with all the screws and you put it together.

Check e-bay. There are a lot of good deals to be had and if you know what to look for you will get a good sturdy stand for cheap.

good sturdy stand eh? get some cinder blocks, 2x4s and plywood.

A lot of people will recommend building your own for the cheapest...
ive never had a problem with the rod iron ones, but they sometimes arent cheap, you have to look around all my fish stores/walmart have different prices on them. Like tarheels I've gotton all mine from walmart.

craigs list! I got a great 55 gallon tank wqith everything including the wonderful stand! 50 bucks!

If you're standing a tank 20g or under, there are options to use things like really strong coffee tables, dressers, buffets, etc. I had my 20g long on a sturdy old night stand for almost two years until I finally broke down and bought a "proper" stand.

If you opt for a piece of furniture, ensure it has a even surface without bows in it. The cinder block and 2x4 system worked for years for me. Not the prettiest but very functional.
