Which Dwarf Angel Should I Get?

if you have a general comunity tank i would go for the lemon but if it a lil more argesive then i would get the flame i like the lemon peal the best

The Pygmy Angelfish would be a good choice. They only get 3”. The scientific name is Centropyge argi.

Nice tank :)
C. argi is a nice choice, they're feisty little cuties. If you want something larger, a bicolour, flame, coral beauty or Potter's might be nice. Keep in mind that with any dwarf angel you're risking your corals (but IMHO they're worth it). Angels like to pick at food all day long; your tank is pretty clean so you may want to buy the angel something like nori or (eek! perish the thought) see if you can get more algae to grow along the back wall for grazing.

I am with you Blinky. Both of my angels are in a reef setting and they prove to be model citizens. I took the risk and it was well worth it. I believe they stay reef safe because I shove food at them much like a grandma with cookies. For the kids it helps them sleep better at night. :D

On RC it is reported that lemonpeels are the worst for eating corals, with a poor rate of about 20% being reef safe, Flame angels were reported at being about 50% reef safe, and the highest percentage for reefsafe dwarf angels was the coral beauty, and 70% of people had success keeping them in a reef environment.

The Coral Beauty is probably the best although they are really shy. I have one and he stays hidden in the rock. I also had a Lemonpeel and the Flame but not at the same time and they are probably the hardest to take care of.

I'd say Eibl's Angelfish.
Centropyge eibli

They're a great species

kobeSumo! I finally made a choice... And the winner is.... THE EIBL'S ANGEL! Besides your recommendation, my LFS had him there long enough to confirm he was healthy, 2 weeks or more. He looked pretty peppy to me. Also, instead of being $50 or (eek) $70, he was only $30 and pretty good size, about as long as a diskette (3"?). He looked me in the eye and I was sure! Tonight I brought him home and have been gazing at him for an hour as he scoped out his new digs. He is The Bomb! Zooms around everywhere, pausing now and then to kiss the live rock or sniff a coral, moving his eyes all around to check it out, gracefully fitting himself in every cavern and hole. A treat to watch. He is definitely the diva of my tank. Quite beautiful. Not maybe as gaudy as some of the other angels, but his colors provide an interesting contrast to the other fish. I'm crossing my fingers he will stay as active and healthy as he seems to be tonight! If he would only stay still, I could share a picture. Maybe later...
