Whiptail catfish with shrimp

I can't give you a definitive answer but even if it wont eat the adults, it may eat the tiny babies or just crush them. I personally wouldn't risk it.

Whiptails may get an odd shrimp now and then, but they're certainly not a predatory fish that will actively hunt them down. IMO any shrimp willing to sit still long enough for a pleco to eat it deserves to become food...

If you dont have whiptail (Rhineloricaria/Loricaria) yet, perhaps better off with Farlowella Sp as F are not as active/bold as Whiptails. Rhineloricaria may not be able to catch the CRS but may end up rendering hell for shrimps as they muscle their way around the tank
