I am kind of a newbie and I have some of those very common bladder snails breeding like crazy in my Red Cherry Shrimp tank. Almost all of the snails are black or very dark brown but I have one bladder snail that has a golden colored shell and it's foot is white. Is this common and has anyone else seen a snail like this before. I know Briggs snails come in many colors and I have Ramshorns in red and blue and black/brown but I have never seen a white bladder snail. Any info would be appreciated.

Bladders come in lots of colours.

I've got black ones- pure white/transparant ones- white ones with yellow tips to the shell. Bronze ones, striped ones, speckled ones, brown ones.

Okay, thanks. I thought I had something special, here. :D Maybe I'll get other colors. If they didn't breed like crazy and overpopulate, they'd be pretty cool. But I did just discover I could crush some and feed them to my crays. Thank you for the information.

I never saw the white ones when I was a kid and first kept fish so they surprised me a bit when I got back in the hobby and saw these white and transparant bladder snails mixed in with my regular ones.
