Hey there. I am new here, and this seems like a nice helpful board
I have a tall 20gal. tank. I set it up a couple of days after x-mas, then added 8 zebra danios to the tank on new year's eve. Everything was going good, not a problem.
Last weekend I went to PetSmart and got 5 bunches of moneywort. A cool looking plant that doesn't grow like mad, need a lot of light or CO2. And things habe been good. Fish like it, swim around in it.
I even had a friend who has a few tanks over yesterday and he commented how well everything was going.
But this morning I noticed this grey stuff pooling on one of my plant bunches.
Here is the whole tank:
And here is the plant in question:
Now, I have heard that as the tank balances, it will go away. I have also read to get some algae eaters as they will also eat the fungus.
My tank runs around 78F, so I'd need something that likes it warm.
So far this is only on that one plant. And not on either of the pieces of driftwood that it seems to be common with (if it's the same thing).
Any recommendations? Suggestions?
Thanks a bunch in advance,
-MT
