White Curls??

I have these white spots on my powerhead, one snail shell and two of my live rocks. I have know idea what they are. They look like tiny single white curls grouped together. What are they and do I need to do something about them before they spread? I have only had this 90 gal tank up since NOV. 04.

Sounds sort of like eggs of some kind-what all is in the tank, in terms of snails, conchs, worms?
