can anyone identify this yucky white/grey stuff on my java moss

The just of it,
i set up this tank about 3 weeks ago.. let it cycle because i was planning on putting baby fish in here..
i added the driftwood which i boiled twice for 3 hours each time in just water on the stove... i boiled it once in the morning on the first day and repeat 2nd day.. i got it from our local dam..

i took the java moss from my other tank where its thriving.. i know the moss needs to adjust as i added the driftwood and java moss after a week of starting the tank..

is this dead moss? is this fungi? is this algae?

its looks gross and of course is pretty much growing on the brown dormant parts of the java moss.. some in the green but mostly in the dormant sections..

lights are on for about 10 hours a day.. i do not have the specifications on them.. they aren't as strong as the lights on my other tank..

just wondering.. all water parameters are fine and fish are doing well.. snails won't eat it either!!!

thank you very much for the help.. i really do appreciate forums like these
