white substrate?

I'm having trouble locating a white substrate. I've seen pictures of stuff online I thought was bleach white but when I went to look at it at the LFS it was gray and dull.

It is possible that the lighting in peoples tank is making their substrate seem lighter colored then what it really is because it reflects. Or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

I think it is the lighting myself..My sand has a slight tan color to it but when I take a pic it looks white..
 
Yes, it is the lighting which, in the most part, makes the substrates in reef tanks look white...As you can see from my reef log, my sand looks bright white..When, effectivly, is tan coloured..
