I'm making my african tank to be as less aggressive as possible (recently traded in the m. johanni for an aulonocara, which is more or less an experiment of mixing mbuna with peacocks for now, so far so good, will post pics later), I have two male fuellebornis in the tank, which will grow larger than other mbuna and might eventually start duking it out as far as conspecific aggression, even though there is nothing like that now, I'm more or less set on my decision of who stays and who goes, just wanted to see what you guys think.

One is the solid blue fuelleborni (he is the more aggressive one of the two, but nothing crazy):

Two is Fuelleborni Katale (marmalade cat), he's one of the more passive fish in the tank:

Hmmm...I'm not good at malawi stocking but my thought is that removing the most aggressive fish may just result in another fish taking on the same role. But I wouldn't listen to me if I were you...:lipssealedsmilie:

lol jpappy. Maybe my post wasn't phrased right, neither of these two fish are aggressive, I've got a socolofi who's the dominant male in the tank now, just gonna get rid of one of these fish to avoid any conspecific aggression later down the road (and partially because they can grow to around 7"), and was wondering which you'd keep (looks wise) if you had the choice :)

Aaaahhh...that make more sense. :duh:

I like the Fuelleborni Katale best personally. But I think it would have to depend on the rest of the stock. If you do not have another fish that is solid blue or close to that I would keep the fuelleborni.:grinyes:

Keep #2...

Keep #1. That opinion is based solely on appearance. #1 is a gorgeous fish!

Two good looking fish.

Personally I'd keep number 2. He's an unusally attractively marked variant - often they are just blotchy. He's a very nice looking fish.

Keep the Fuelleborni Katale
