Its been almost three weeks since I set up a 10 gal. The water/chemical thing was initially fine as I took a sample to an LFS. I began with 10 neons that were doing fine until I noticed some ich on a few. A few days later I added a dwarf gourami. I began treating the tank with some super ich plus. The next day I noticed that I lost two neons ( a small one that had ich worse than the others and another that showed really no sign of it) and now my gourami is looking bad (hanging out at the bottom with its head upward and its tail down on the rocks). I removed the dead fish and half the water in my tank (adding the appropriate amount of chemicals and ich treatment to compensate for what I took out). The other neons seem to be fine but they are acting strange, like they are scared or shy- hiding out almost. Do they sense one more death coming (the gourami) or what? I'm now wondering if the sick neons contaminated the gourami or vise versa? Any ideas are appreciated.
