Who would have thunk it?

I love fish....at first I got them because my son is enamoured with them and I thought why not I need a low risk hobby. So I do some research (not enough apparently, gotta love petsmart....twenty goldfish....thank God for the LFS) and I decide to get a 33 gallon starter kit and another lesson learned....not all fish tanks are created equal...I would NOT recommend the petsmart kit, the hagen is more expensive for a reason...namely the filter, but I digress. At any rate I never realized just how enjoyable it is to just unwind at the end of the day watching FISH! I love it...who would have thunk it?

One of my friends started out with the typical betta-in-a-cup setups. After seeing my tanks, she decided to upgrade, and now has a 45 corner tank that she's deciding is just not enough. She was over last night and commented on how much she loves the tank and the fish--it's her new relaxation technique.

:)

We've got a 10g that we started about 15 months ago, and have been wanting to upgrade ever since. We've already purchased a 48" wide by 18" deep stand, and a filter and airpump to handle a 75 to 110 gal tank. Maybe around January as both our birthdays fall in that month.

I agree that watching fish is a great stress reliever. Can't wait until I can sit an watch a big school of neons or harlequin rasboras (or maybe both).

My husband bred swordtails when we met. Then he got rid of them and we set up our own tank with a variety.

My older brother kept fish for years, but I never really paid attention.

Now, I love them! Though lately, I've been so overwhelmed with so much that I'm falling behind with the tank changes. Especially since I do them all myself!!

But, I love the fish. It's a fantastic hobby!
