i just tested my nitrites and there at 2.0 should i do a partial water change?if so how much?i set this aquarium up 2 weeks ago.i have added biozyme to the aquarium hoping to speed the cycling could it almost be there already.i added the biozyme yesterday

You need to get them down to .25ppm or lower..... A 50% will only get you down to 2.5ppm... To get to the level you need it would take a large 95%+ water change.You probably really shouldnt do it all at once but I would do a 75% then give fish a few hours to adjust to the cleaner water and do another 75% then test and then give it alittle while and do another if needed to get it at or below.25ppm ...you may end up doing several to get it down.

How did the nitrites get this high anyway? What kind of test kit are you using?
Are there fish in this tank?
I would stop using the biozyme, it is nothing but you wasting your many. Live bacteria doesn't sit on a shelf and live.
If you have fish in there, you need to be doing water changes, as many as required and of sufficeint size to keep ammonia and nitrites below .25 ppm.
You should be using a good liquid test kit and following the directions closely.

i do know that its nitrites im looking at because thats the kit i bought.i got the biozyme for cheap and thought why not try it.it seems to be working as my ammonia is being cycled into nitrite.there are fish in there 2 albino corys and 2 guppies and lots of plants
