whoaa my nitrites

You need to get them down to .25ppm or lower..... A 50% will only get you down to 2.5ppm... To get to the level you need it would take a large 95%+ water change. You probably really shouldnt do it all at once but I would do a 75% then give fish a few hours to adjust to the cleaner water and do another 75% then test and then give it alittle while and do another if needed to get it at or below.25ppm ...you may end up doing several to get it down.

Your looking at about three 50% water changes...

1st 50% = 1.0ppm
2nd 50%= .50ppm
3rd 50% = .25ppm

^Would do the same as well :iagree:

How did the nitrites get this high anyway? What kind of test kit are you using?

are you sure you're looking at nitrItes and not nitrAtes?

Are there fish in this tank?

I would stop using the biozyme, it is nothing but you wasting your many. Live bacteria doesn't sit on a shelf and live.

If you have fish in there, you need to be doing water changes, as many as required and of sufficeint size to keep ammonia and nitrites below .25 ppm.

You should be using a good liquid test kit and following the directions closely.
