A couple months ago I posted a question regarding why my platy fry might be pecking at my pleco. Someone suggested that maybe they were finding food on him. Well that batch of fry have been gone for about a month, but I have more now. These ones are about 1/2 inch in size and worse than the others. Thet are pecking at my pleco as well as my ID Sharks. Any other suggestions on why they are doing this?

They could be looking for food, as you said above. Although, I wonder why the shark just doesn't turn around and eat them. How big are they?

pecking

I have guppy fry that peck at the body of my mystery snail. I think its just something that fry do (like siblings poking each other!), and as long as they arent hurting your sharks I wouldent worry about them being eaten.

The aren't hurting anyone but you can certainly tell that they are annoying them. The take it for so long and then away they go only to be found by the little "brats" again.

Fry often eat the slime coat off their parents (small parts, won't hurt anything) if the parent is a type that raise their young like cichlids. So I would think that this is what happening even though it is a different type of fish.
