Why dog house - why not fish tank?

Have you guys seen the hgtv sweepstake contest? Why can't they give away a really cool aquarium instead of a doghouse. I demand a diamond studded filter for my guppies. I want the most exotic plants and a personal assistant to scrape the algae off the glass and change the filter without dripping all over the wood floor. In fact, I want semi-precious gravel. I like dogs - but do "they" think every family has a dog for a pet? If you could go extreme, what would you do with your aquarium?

A reef tank big enough to scuba in... :thud:

extreme tank? Oh man, it would require a reworking of my house. I'd have tanks built into the walls, you know, that you could see through? So like, you see one side in the living room and another side in the dining room. Tall plants could go on the sides that don't provide a view... Oh, and make it bowfront, on both sides, so it would protrude from the walls somewhat. It would be a really thick wall... so as to provide access to the maintenance room! A "hidden" room on either side of the tank that would house pumps, sumps, whatever I needed! Not just extreme, extremely cool. This wouldn't be some small tanks either. They would be... I believe the technical term is, Gianormous!

300+ gallons, heavily planted, CO2 canister, a fantastic lighting and filtration system, with all the equipment hidden in the wall. I'd love to keep 'snow white' discus and cardinal tetras, maybe a couple unusual plecos - sort of an Amazon biotope. Oh - and it might be nice to have an assistant to help with maintenance ;)

I think I would love to go with a 100 to 200 gallan tank, but I would like it to be no taller then 30", I would want it LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG. and wide maybe 60x26x26 (I am thinking this would be about a 160gall tank.)

Over filtered tank. I would want the filter system to do about 1000 gph fully planted, and for fish, lots and lots of tetras.

On a "While You Were Out" episode they build a 55 gallon into a wall and gave it away as a prize.

My perfect tank right now... I don't know. I'm just content with the 45 gallon hex I'll be picking up in a week or so.
