wierd readings????

i used mardel 5in1 test strips

i have really prblem with lower my ph ?
but here the readings

40 nitrate
0 nitrite
25 hardness
300+ alkalinity/buffering capacity
8.4 ph
and my ammo. is 0

so i can have soft water and high ph???

strip tests are notoriously inaccurate as well as hard to read. if you really want to know what's going on with your water, I would recommend liquid test kits. If you're still getting the same readings with liquid tests, then we can suggest ways to possibly "fix" your water chemistry issues, if they're deemed necessary.

I got really weird readings from those too, I tested and it said I had nitrates that were off the charts,got a liquid test kit, tested, nitrates 0ppm
