Okay on the lowes website it says the GE silicone II white paintable isn't mold resistant, but in person the same tube of silicone has the mold resistant logo on the back. So did Lowes mess up on their homework? or Is GE putting the "mold free product protection logo" on the back of all of their silicone tubes?

I always thought GE Silicone 1 was the one without "Mildew-cides" and GE Silicone 2 was the one that has it!
All I know is that's what I've read! So I tried it! The GE 1 that is! And so far so good! No deaths or anything!

other ge silicone II products... maybe not so much...

also... silicone isn't paintable. if the caulk you're looking for is paintable it doesn't belong in a fish tank.
