It's still blue ram. They have been named Holland Blue Ram, Czech Blue Ram, German Blue Ram and now Columbian Blue Ram.

ahh lupin to the rescue ;)

yes Mikrogeophagus ramirezi(aka papiliochromis)
are indeed the Blue ram.
German Blue Ram is just a name given to the German bred blue ram(as lupin eluded to) they are known by a few different names but all are the same species of fish(to date only two dwarf rams-Ramirezi and Altispinosa)

the difference is these may have been imported or are the offspring of Blue rams from Columbia
I believe the species is fairly widely distributed in SA.(Orinoco Basin)

Does anyone have Gold Rams?
these are a color morph of the Blue ram.
pretty common..I find them all the time but an looking for blue rams locally raised.
