Will my fishless cycle ever end?

My cycle is done...my cycle is done...la la la!!!!

Nitrites were zero this morning. Thanks for helping me get through those final days. Am getting ready to do my big water change. Getting my fish tomorrow:dance

How many days, start to finish?
 
I believe I set up my tank on April 16, which would make it 40 days for a complete cycle. I did not add any bacteria source except something called TLC for Freshwater Aquariums. I really don't think this helped at all. My next project is a planted goldfish 30 gallon. I will be using some gravel from my 10 gallon for that one. Hopefully I will have much faster results. Happy fish day to me, happy fish day to me...about 7 hours until I leave for my LFS.:D
 
Temp and carbon?

Did you have carbon in the aquarium duirng cycling?

What temperature was the tank at during this time?
 
My experience with fishless cycling was quite good (after a fishy cycling disaster). I found that rotting meat (like a piece of a scallop from the local grocer) provided a continuous carbon and nitrogen source for the bacteria colonies. My cycle was over in about 10 days.
