And which cichlids. some "sharks" only get to 4" and some about 2 feet long. some african cichlids are only 1" long while others get to almost a foot. see if you can find out which ones you're thinking of. Also, the size of the tank plays a big factor in this too. Kyle
More info on your tank, size, etc. is needed to correctly answer your question, but in GENERAL, African cichlids are pretty aggressive. One of the more interesting aspects of fish-keeping, TO ME, is learning what fish go with what other fish. I'm glad you're asking the question before randomly testing it, but as I've said, give us some more info on what kind of shark, what tank size, etc., if you want more specific advice.
its a 30G and i think the cichlids will be electric yellow labs and i don't know what kind of sharks though
The type of shark is really important to know ahead of time. There are lots of fish that go by the name shark, though most are either members of the minnow family, catfish, or something else. Some get to be 1 meter long, others get to be 5 inches long. Some are group fish others are solitary and very aggressive.
