will this look stupid?

want to set up my 75 next week. I cant find black AGA pine stands anywhere but there are plenty of "oak" colored ones around. My tank is black trim so will it look stupid to get the oak color with a black trim tank? The oak color will look better with the furniture i have.

I guess if i get a canopy that is also oak it will help even more. What do you guys think?

None of my tanks have matching furniture and they don't look bad at all.

If oak matches your furniture, get the oak. I used to have a big bad ugly black stand for one of my tanks in a room with great wood furniture and it looked awful! If you get a canopy the black trim will be even less noticeable. You could also glue strips of oak veneer or molding to the black trim if it really bugs you.

On any good stand design the wood should hide the trim anyway, so go with what looks good in your room design.

Heehee, it's the opposite in my house. My boyfriend is an artist so he is very concerned with our interior decorating. I, on the other hand, am too practical to be bothered. If it were up to me, everything would be mismatched and cluttered. As long as it functions, I'm pleased
