well I have a 55g and it has the following fish in it a 5inch JD and a 5inch 4lined cat and a 10inch Pleco and I want to get another JD and another 4lined cat would they all fit in a 55g or will they get cramped

I wouldn't try it. That's a lot of big fish in a relatively small space. The current inhabitants may kill anything else you add, and it will certainly strain territories and limit the growth of the fish.
