I noticed that one of my snails has two wormy things trying to get into its shell. Will planaria do this, because this is what I beleive them to be. Will it hurt my snailys?? Could they be something else??

My tank is a 15 gallon. I do regular 40 %water changes once a week. I have definitely noticed planaria in the past. But they never bothered my betta. I am pretty freaked out because these are my new babies.

planaria have human implications to my knowledge so I don't like them. I have seen one of my snails with a black worm in it's shell(blood worm) those feeder portion live worms. so I coaxed it out for the snail , no passengers ! Whenever I see planaria I squish it flat without useing my fingers, they make me subconciously itchy.
