Like I had stated earlier before. I have successfully kept bettas in community tanks. I have a betta in my 40 gallon community tank, a 14 gallon cube betta community tank, and two 5.5 gallon betta community tanks. Mostly with neon tetras, white cloud minnows, galaxy Rasboras or Cardinal Tetras. As long the other fish aren’t fin nippers, the betta is fine.
Suprisingly in this combination not, thought the betta himself is the only killer there.
'the betta is fine' my lfs says... The next thing they see is all their fish dead and betta barely breathing out of stress. Saw him wither away on sight.
Alright alright... I just have doubts about it... That's all, I was repeating what I researched about it.. You think I could do my betta with other fish without overfeeding him? Like putting him in a breeder box until other fish are done eating?
What I do is feed both pellets and a high protein flake. I fast all fish for a day. So far I haven’t had any issues. I been keeping bettas in community tanks for years, it all depends on the betta’s temperament.
