I think you should be ok. You do need to have an alternate plan for the Nic just in case. The one I have is more on the laid back side, but they are cichlids and individual personality will come into play.

no new updates, but all fish are well. FIRE EELS ARE AWESOME lol. Once I get a larger tank with sand or no substrate I will def get one.
