Would a tank be in a bad position here?

I am planning on putting a 72g tank in my living room. It would be on the wall between a big window and my front door. I am just concerned about the window because there is the littlest draft comming from it, you really can't feel it unless you keep your hand about a cm from the window and leave it there for a minute. I am not worried about the door because we just had it replaced 2 years and there is no draft what-so-ever.
would the tank be ok?

I wouldn't worry about draft... just get two heaters going if you don't already. I live in one big draft... the only harm it has done is to the wallet. Sunlight maybe an issue... green water isn't the most pleasent thing to look at.

I have my tanks near my front door. No draft issues, but when the sunshines in when I open the door, the fish can get startled with all that extra bright light! Also, the vibrations of the door opening and closing can also be a problem...

I also have my tank in a similar setting. No problems except if I keep the blinds open too many hours, it leads to rapid algae growth. Easy enough to regulate though. My windows are horribly drafty but the heater keeps up ok.

I agree with the previous posts. If the draft is very minimal, you may not need a second heater. 72g is a considerable amount of water for a small draft to have any affect on. Or is it effect...?

I would be more concerned about the traffic, than anything else. Is your tank going to be banged up everytime someone comes in with groceries? What about when the door is shut? Is the tank going to be secure enough that the vibrations don't shake it each time someone walks by or shuts the door?

Good luck :)

It's hard to explain the setup in my house, but when you come in the front door, you have to either go up or down. Everything is on the top floor. When you go up the stairs, you look left and there is the living room. If you turn around completely and you are looking at the door, you are looking down the steps at it. So, if I'm in the living room, I can see who comes in the front door by looking through the banister. If I lean over the banister, I can touch the door if I am close enough to the wall. If you can picture this, the tank would be where I am if I lean over and touch the door. I know this is very confusing, but I don't have a scanner, so I can't take a picture and show you.
