Would this pond work out?

I want to install a pond of about 70g, put around 40 mosquitofish and 30 rosy reds/fatheads for starters. This would be installed in the Summer. I live in central MD, where it freezes if the fountain isn't on. Would this work out? Thanks for answering.

PS: I would also take 5-10 of each gender in so I could at least have a start next year if they died.

depends on the depth of the pond, since we have a pond and i think you need to go down like 4-5 ft to keep the water from freezing. You would also need to get floating ice melters in order to keep some areas open in the ice during the winter in order to keep gaseous exchange happening. I cannot speak on whether the fish themselves can take the temperature, we just have goldfish and koi in our pond
