Say if you had a 800liter tank would it work if you put:
2 oscars
4 jack D
4 firemouths
1 green terror
and a few catfish

no, all of them will equall all of them dead in a week or month...

FOR ONE IT's a 200g TANK.

As for the fish killing eachother, not necessarly, I've kept my FireMouths with a Green Terror and an Oscar in the past. This set he's talking about doesnt exactly mean every fish will kill the other. It fully depends on each fish's temperment. I have two 6" Hybred Texas Cichlids in with my FireMouths, and my FireMouths hold their own in the tank.

I doubt I would go with an oscar in the tank, I'm just not a fan of them anymore. I would go with only a pair of Jack Dempseys, 4 FireMouths, single Green Terror, and probably 2-3 Pictus Catfish.

Well with a 200g tank, the two pairs of Jack Dempseys would take up the tank. So I recommend just a single pair of JD's for starters. You could get away with 4 FireMouths due to they max out at 6" at most in aquariums. As for a pair of Oscars, Oscars can max out at 24", Ive seen a few around 18" at a couple local stores where I live, So i Recommend a Single Oscar, try one of the new strains of Oscars like a Golden Oscar they have great gold coloring, or platinum Oscar. For cat fish I still recommend maybe 3 Pictus Cats since they only get around 8" in the aqaurium.

Reason for not going with all you have kisted is the following

Oscars can reach 18"

Jd's can reach 12-15"

GT's can reach 12"

so to actually keep everything thats listed you would need around a 400-500G tank. So the old rule of thumb "one inch of fish per gallon of water" does not apply to cichlids do to their need of space. With Central/South MAerican Cichlids they need more room than most fish.

Well thanks its just that i have 5 young oscar in need of a bigger home so i have to get rid of them, i guess i have no choise and will the green terrors nail the oscars, fires or jacks?
And is there any thing else i could get with it?
