would you buy one of these fish?

All I can say is wow..... And I dont mean about the fish. I wouldnt own any of these or the other Glo fish. But My Wow is on the disscussion that is in the works over this and other such fish. But how many of you keep Shrimp, Dogs, Cats, Or other pets of any sorts. Genetic work has gone on for a very long time. In some cases it was done through selective breeding. In some cases in a lab with DNA. How many of you really have a clue what Glo fish were originally intended for? It wasnt for Aquaria......... It was was to develop a fish that could detect Pollution by selectively fluorescing in the presence of Environmental toxins.

There are SOOOOOoo many fish everyone keeps that youd all be surprised how much breeding and selective work has gone into them til they no longer are what they used to be.

Again They arent my cup of tea but I dont think its anyone's place here to judge or to pass judgment on others who want such fish.

I personally would not buy them. I don't care much for the hybrid breeds either but it is my personal choice. I just don't find them attractive. If others like them, good for them. I think there are plenty of "natural" fish with far more beauty than GM and hybrids.
