Anything that is labeled as "beef and beef by-products" has a real chance of contracting the disease. We do need to be aware as much of the farm raised fish are fed by-products that don't go directly to your table.
"Soylent Green" is looking more and more appetizing!
Well, I am an "animal nut." I have a polydactyl cat, his name is "Mr. Digits", right behind my wife, I'd save him next in a disaster (well, if I am pissed at her, it might be a toss-up!) However, I would not ever feed that cat anything I would not eat myself. His wet food is prepared by us, boiled chicken, fish, seafood, etc. His dry food contains no reference to "bad stuff." Occasionally, and when we are away from home, we will feed him the best foods we can find--we read the labels CAREFULLY.
So, when I hear about "fecal matter" polluting some of the cat foods, it gives me nightmares--all those people out there feeding cr*p to their pets!, probably not realizing what they are doing--it is a crime in my book!
Like I say, I just love my cat ... it is OK if some consider me a nut. :screwy:
