Wow, my tank is leaking.

How deep is your substrate? That sounds like an awful lot.

I am sloping and doing a lot of rockwork(like putting gravel behind a large rock(10"-14" rock) and making a ledge to put gravel in. :D
The deepest is ~4.5"
The shallowest is ~3.0"
I MIGHT GET SOME EELS/BURROWING CATFISH THOUGH
I will probably take out 20lbs of eco-complete and put it in my 10G, and 20G.

24 HOURS DONE
NO LEAKS

PICS of 72G!!!

Finally, I got some Pics!!! :)
I am pretty sure that this tank is more than 72 gallons because I filled up more than 25 five gallon buckets.
IDK what size, when I bought it, the woman said it was a 85 Gallon.
on to the pics(sorry for bad pics, cuz I am so tired from filling the tank, emptying the gravel, drilling holes for canister, making cutouts for canister, emptying drawers, lining drawers, etc.:grinyes:

IN COMPARISON, THE STAND IS 78 INCHES LONG. :d (going 2 bed now)

The tank looks great so far. A couple thoughts, though:

so far I am thinking of....
1 large emerald cory(already own)
2 long fin albino corys(already own)
4-6 corys(probably pandas) need to buy

I would add more emerald or albino cories, instead of introducing a third species. Your current cories would appreciate it more, and I think they would interact better together that way.

I will stock slowly like....
max of 1 group every 2 weeks like....
week 2(after cycling)
week 4 put some platys/danios to help cycle

I'm confused. First you say week 2 is after cycling, as if it has already completed, but then you say that at 4 weeks you'll add fish to help cycle. Are you using media from another tank to speed up the process? Also, if you don't plan on keeping the platies or danios, why not do a fishless cycle instead?

Not to be a downer here or anything, but not all dressers are ment to be fish tank stands. From this picture, it looks like you have a major sag in your stand. Not only would I be worried about the stand collapsing, but an aquarium that is set on an uneven surface (as in your case) is likely to spring another leak or worse yet crack due to the uneven weight distribution! Please check the integrity of your stand before continuing with this project. Your tank looks amazing and it would be a sure shame to have it spring another leak, or worse come home to a 75 gallon mess on the floor.

Sorry, my bad:)
I think I will just do a fishless cycle which will take a week since I put my marineland 350 bio wheel filter from my 20G into the 72G? I think it is a 85G. IDK.
It will only take 1 week because I put in all the live bacteria from the 7 bags of eco-complete, some water from my 20G, and the filter from my 20G.

TO STAY ON THE SAFE SIDE, I will wait 2 weeks before adding any delicate, fish, like angelfish, etc.

Do you have any idea on what other type of tetras to get besides the cardinals which will get along with the angelfish.

Okay, excellent, I'm with you now lol.

I've never kept angels, but a friend of mine has serpae and lemon tetras in with hers and it seems to work well. Serpaes and lemons are really pretty, and bigger than the neons. Or, what about the next tetra on my wishlist... Gold pristella tetras? From what I've researched on them, I think they would work.

I think that's a bit optimistic. AFAIK ecocomplete claims to have bacteria in it but every report I've read (including my own experience with it) is that it doesn't particularly speed up cycling at any great rate.

Even putting in the filter/media from a smaller tank will not guarantee an instant, or even a shortened cycle, so I wouldn't count on it.

I don't really advocate for fishless cycling because I don't practice it, but it is the safest method. I do however think you'd be fine adding a few fish at a time and giving a few weeks in between additions. This would entail substantial biweekly water changes to be on the safe side, as well as regular testing/water changes in the event of any spikes.

And I agree with the above poster, it looks like that dresser is sagging. It looks like you really pulled out all the stops in equipment here, I wouldn't risk it all with an improper stand.
