XP3 Air in filter

When you close the filter be sure to wipe the gaskets and make sure everything is cleaned off them. I prefill mine in the sink after I clean it before I hook it back up. Iuse the funnel and fill until just before water comes out the of the top. I take it in to the tank, and hook back up. Plug in, and hopefully the inlet and outlet tubing retained their water and you don't ahve to reprime. It will spit some are for a little bit, and then while hooked up and running gently tilt from side to side and let it thump down on the floor to shake the air out. side to side and forward and backward. that is usualy what I do after I clean and hook mine back up.

It sounds as if you have a loose connection somewhere.

1. As Kas said check for any kind of bubbler near the intake.
2. Make sure all 4 clamps are properly closed.
3. Make sure that the Inlet Pipe Cap used in the initial set-up is on tight and that all inlet and outlet parts are properly fitted.
4. Make sure that the Flexible Tubing Clamps are in place and securely fitted.

Unless you take down the entire system or change flexible tubing you should never have to manually reprime.
