Yay!!!! :)

I believe the reason for this forum is for people to ask questions and learn and be excited about experiences. (like her) As a regular "helper" you'd think that if you got sick of answering a question, you'd just skip it. When newcomers come to read other threads and see things like this I think it probably discourages people from asking questions as they are afraid of a responses like this.

I have to agree with kayla on that one!

I think she is right..why not spread the excitement anyways? Even if these type of questions maybe get posted alot so what?...is it going to hurt anybody? It's not being mean to comment about your fish haveing babies!!

If my guppy had babies like hers did i would probably be over excited and want to post a million times about it!!! But how dissapointing to get feedback like the others posted. :(

Thanks for the help..

Umm tsang..I found ONE baby fry and that was just last night..not a couple weeks ago so i have been feeding it crushed flakes until i decided to ask what was better to feed them today..but you obviously didn't read the other boards..I never asked the same questions..and when did I ask about molly fry? I asked about a pregnant molly...if i did, it means my question was not answered..please do not be rude.

And gosh, is it not okay for me to just post about my fry because i was excited?

HA! I love it! Don't be discouraged puppy and good luck!

Maybe some of you should take a look at that and the threads that have been started. Ya wonder why I'm gettin a little sick of this? All you people here think ya HAVE to be all PC and skirt around the issue with fancy language rather than just spittin the truth out blunt and straight to the point. Most of you also ignore some of the major issues, did any of you even consider like I pointed out, that there will be several hundred guppy fry in no time? Nope, not a one of you, none of you even have really provided any info about how to care for these fry, or any valid info on what do with them. Instead its all been about attacking me and how I go about anwsering things.

Puppy, you do not have the capacity to raise all those guppy fry and its not a smart thing to do to attempt to do it with what you have right now. Period.

If ya don't like it too bad, or you can just go on being ignorant and just doing what you were anyway. Kinda like when you were keepin the 2 oscars, JD, and a common pleco in a 20gal. Funny how all those tank specs just Vanished after someone pointed out to that most of what you were doing was wrong. But I suppose you just went and "solved" the problems didn't ya.

Yes, Tseng, I have read her other threads, and while she may be overexcited and kinda impatient, I don't think she's a troll.

It has nothing to do with being PC or "skirting" issues, it has to do with being POLITE. I don't think I have read a single post from you in ANY thread that has come off anything less than impatient, rude, condescending and know-it-all'ish. If repetitive newbie questions annoy you, just move on.

And finally, yes, she WILL be overrun with guppy fry soon. If she's not abundantly aware of that now, thanks to your oh so delicately worded replies, she'll figure it out soon enough. And when she IS overrun with fry, she can certainly bag them up, stroll on down to her LFS and they'll be happy to toss them in the feeder tank with the other 743 million guppies in there.

Chill out, Tseng.

Oh my. I love the drama. I have to admit that my first day on this site, I saw Puppy and thought she was a troll. Her posts were crazy. Hope she's for real. I'm jealous, I'd love to have all those babies.

She may well be a troll, but I guess I don't see her that way. She may be posting silly questions, but she's not going "I have 10 balas and a pacu in a 10 gallon tank, and that's ok because I have a big filter!"

People that are some SERIOUS newbies come here for help, that's what they should get. If someone thinks a person is a troll, then they should ignore them. Blasting people out of the sky for asking a newbie question shouldn't happen.

I totally understand Tseng's frustration with people who stroll through a LFS, buy a tank and 20 fish and haul them home the same day. But I wonder how many of the old timers to the hobby started that way. I hate seeing fish die as much as anyone else, but at least these people are coming for help now. Better late than never.

So give them a chance... in 10 years, they'll be the one helping another newbie out...

 Thank You aknif!

After reading through this thread I must say I have to agree with Tseng. While he may be blunt with his answers he does give VERY accurate advice and often times goes above and beyond the actual question to look through someones tanks to see if there are other issues they may need to be aware of.

Furthermore, reading this entire thread from what I could tell he was the ONLY person that actually gave information regarding how to care for the fry and answering the initial question. After that everyone concentrated on blasting him for being blunt and didn't even bother giving advice to the person who asked for it.

Now puppylover...
IMO you really need to re-evaluate your stocking. You are going to have WAY more fry then you can handle. Which is cool if you have somewhere to house them until they are big enough to at least give away to the LFS. Even from someone who hasn't bred fish yet, (me) I can see that much.

That's my 2 cents,
Curtis
