I'm sooo happy to say that my poor old oscar that got beat up real bad is finally eating again...hes still showing battle wounds but hes swiming around not hiding and coming up to the surface for the pellets.....i was like kickA@@ i was worried that he might die he was looking pretty bad their last week.....now all i need to do is fatten him up and get some weight on him and see if then he can return to the general public.......wonder if i get him a buddy oscar if the outher oscar would pick on him.......but i'm gonna pick up some beefheart or whatever else i can find that he will snarf down try to get some weight back to him :bday:

what happened to him in the first place, im just curious.

Oh, and btw, gratz on getting him to eat

Well that is good to hear Phycha, but don't rush things, get him a little bigger so he can defend himself and I would not be putting anything else in with him yet. Being an oscar you can feed him just about anything and he will eatit

yeah....i guess the melafix helped out a bit.....but yah i was gonna give him a bit....definitly wanna see him fin grow back before anything might start to pick on him....i mean he may of been eating a few days ago but tonight is the first time i actually seen him go after the food...but he is still a lil skiddish..i threw some beefheart in their and he was hiding......but at least i know he will eventually eat it..

yah thanks....it sucks to loose 13 dollar fishes...not that im valuing the fishing life but.....it gets expensive replacing them....i just thought oscars were tougher then that.....oh well well see how the gt fairs with a jack dempsey

Hey congrats on your oscar, a Jack dempsey will fair pretty good, because they are a little bit more aggressive than oscars. So good luck

yah hes getting better and better as the days go buy.....and his back fin is growing back faster then i though......he actually has a fin now not a lil stub anymore.....but hes still skiddish at time....but when i come home hes all excited about eating.....then he kinda goes and hides for a bit......i dunno he might not like being confined to a corner of the tank.....but its for his own good i think.....
