Yep, ANOTHER stocking question... lol. Input welcomed!

I've never heards of rams and the peaceful gourami species being a bad mix...they pretty much stay out of each others way.

Pearls or honeys should be fine if you still want some gouramis.

My Dwarf Gourami and GBR had problems when the first met. The Gourami use to chase him. Now they get along ok. I still see some following and soft nudging now and again. But neither is scared of the other. BTW, my Angel, Gourami, and 2 GBRs all do this now. Subtle reminder that they are mean.
 
I will definitely get another GBR (male)... hopefully this weekend or next week.

I would still love the pearl gouramis (a pair) if you all think that'd work I will go for it.

I also LOVE the idea of kuhli loaches. I think they are so creepy and cool looking. lol. Would 4 be enough? Also will kuhli's eat snails? THat would be awesome if they did because I have a seriously small pond scale infestation that I cannot erradicate. I know yoyo loaches are better for killing snails but I don't like the way they look...
