Ok I am a newbie at planted tanks. I have a 29gallon planted tank low tech/low light. My anubias and 1 sword have an algae problem.

I am not sure if this is bba or hair algae.
My tank has been set up since December. Nitrates are between 10 and 20. I dose half cap excel every 2 to 3 days and use flourish once a week after a 50% water change.
Can anyone id this algae and give me any pointers on how to get rid of it? It appears mostly on older leaves and I have considered just trimming the plants. Also my juvie platies seem to be picking at it. So would it just be better to ignore it for now? I really don't want to go to a co2 system, should I increase the excel dosage?

BBA, you may want to increase your Excel dosing, start doing every other day, then if your plants are tolerating it you can increase to daily dosing. I dose daily and my vals have no problem with it.
