I recently bought a variety of african cichlids (snow white zebra, acei, yellow lab, jewel, and another that start "soc"...i think (he's blue with a black dorsal stripe) and I hope to be getting a kribs soon) they are all about 1-2 inches in length and I have no idea what sex they are...

My question is this:

If i wind up having males and females what are the chances that they will inner breed....there is only one of each of the above listed?

Thanks

some will breed and others will kill and what will more than likely happen is the kribs would be killed in this setup the socolofi may breed with the zebra and or yellow lab i know jewels are aggressive but the zebra may beat it up, what size tank..

they are still little (1-2 inches max) so they are in a 30 gallon. I have another 20 gallon I'm still waiting to set up and I want to buy a 55 - 75 gallon or larger when they get bigger.

thanks for the info...i'm now hoping i get all the same gender :)

Here's a link to mytank http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFj3gMJ4lXs (i just uploaded it so sorry if it doesn't work right away) I know the imaging is poor but that's cause my camera is C**p.

i would stick with your current stock if you are going to upgrade soon, i wouldnt add the kribs aye, i would only add a couple of kribs to the 20gal you have extra, just keep an eye on the jewel usually when you buy these guys there already half grown and pack an attitude and can mess up a juvie mbuna but when the mbuna are grown then the jewel will need to watch his rear end, good luck, cool i just watched your video on the tube, sweet fish, your socolofi looks like it will be the leader in this setup, later buddy..
