You ever have something stolen from you?

2 Christmas's in a row my Grandparents had gifts stolen from their van.
I knew someone that had this happen to all too often so... they wrapped their garbage in christmas wrap and left it in the car and yep... it was stolen.

A bunch of toys when I was a kid, and a mostly full 300 CD wallet five years ago or so :(

1 dirtbike (motorcycle)
3 bicycles
a jacket
My dad had all sorts of stuff stolen from his house over the course of 3 or 4 break-ins. This was all when I was in grade school. People wonder why I'm ready to go off if I ever catch someone in the act...

My purse has been stolen twice. Once I left it under my chair at school and once I left it in my car and forgot to lock the doors. I've also had my stereo stolen from my car. One of the security guards at work even saw the guys who did it. He thought they were friends of mine?!

Never had anything stolen that I can recall.....I can leave my home and leave the doors unlocked and for the most part not worry about a thing. I dont make a habit of doing this, but its a good feeling to live in a neighborhood where I dont have to watch my back all the time.

Of course, I used to have a sign posted that read:
NO TRESPASSING
Violators will be shot, survivors will be shot again.

That's what small claims court is for. I showed a landlord who was pulling that stuff a completed filing, ready to go... I got my deposit back.

That would have worked except that my sadistic roommate was 'in cahoots' with the landlord (if you know what I mean). She went through my stuff and stole my copy of the lease so that I would have no proof that I ever even lived there.

I just said 'forget it' because it was really more trouble than it was worth to me. That was about 7 years ago.
