Yep, an 8 is definitely too small. You could keep one in a 20L, or even a couple, as they only get to about 4", but these fish are so endangered that if you have them you should be trying to breed them to preserve the species. The price of them has come way down from 2 years ago when I started looking. Then even if you had the $ you had to get on a list. Now the price is down as they are being smuggled out of the country with much more frequency. In the very near future, there may be no more WC zebras, as their habitat is being destroyed by a soon to be built hydroelectric (or something to that effect) dam. They only live in one section of one river in Brazil, and when that dam goes up, their habitat ceases to exist. Good luck.
